How to use this image color picker
- The color picker offers multiple ways to load images and will attempt to load images automatically.
- Click choose file to choose your image file.
- Drag the image file onto the canvas.
- Enter the specified URL and press [Enter].
- Press Ctrl+V to directly paste the image you just copied,
the browser's menu also has an [Edit | Paste] option.
- The acceptable formats for uploaded images can vary based on the browser and the device.
- Once the image has loaded successfully, it will be displayed on the canvas.
- After the image has finished loading, it will display the top 12 dominant colors.
- If loading via URL fails, please select the image file from your local machine instead.
- Click any pixel on the image to select a color.
- You can select a single point color or the average color within a small square area.
- The selected color code will be displayed below. Click on the color code to automatically copy it to your clipboard.
- The color palette contains the 12 most colors in the image. Clicking on a color swatch will automatically copy its Hex code.

When you interact with an image on this tool,
the system analyzes the raw pixel data locally using HTML5 Canvas technology.
The native language of digital screens is RGB (Red, Green, Blue).
Upon clicking, our algorithm instantly calculates and translates that base RGB data into multiple industry-standard color spaces to support various design workflows:
- HEX & RGB: The absolute standard for web design, UI/UX, and software development. They represent the exact light values emitted by your screen.
